Daily Rituals and the Wonderousness of Indulgences

If you'd like, head over to my other blog, Seven Dames a Week, and read my contribution post to our theme week: Daily Rituals.

What are my daily rituals, you might ask? Well, I thought about it, and realized that my main ritual is talking myself OUT OF indulging in another ritual. Check out my post to see what it is! (Hint: It's not chocolate--because I'm allergic!)

What are your daily rituals? Do they also happen to be guilty indulgences that you try to talk yourself out of, but then just do anyway?

  1. One of mine is always reading a little each night before I go to sleep. It helps me unwind and calms me so that I can sleep easier.

    Good post!

  2. I love reading before bed! I've heard that if you do things that are too stimulating (watching tv, being online) before bed it makes it harder to fall asleep. Right now I'm going to read some Anna Karenina before I go to sleep!

  3. Me too-I have a hard time falling asleep if I don't have a book to read.
Another one of my daily rituals is to walk, so it's a pretty good one. The guilty one is I too eat dessert every night. I try to keep it light and semi-healthy, but a meal just isn't over until dessert!

  4. My dad was raised eating dessert every night--even if it was something small, like jell-o or a piece of fruit. Of course my mom is super health freak so we NEVER have dessert at home now, so I guess when I got to college I went a little wild--with the desserts, of course ;)
