Just Peachy

Do you guys know Brittany from Diary of B? Well, in addition to blogging about her sweet husband and adorable golden retriever and their life in Southern California (so jealous! Girl I will be there so soon!), this talented girl has recently launched her own blog design business, Peachy Keen Blog Design! In fact, I saw over on my lovely bloggy friend Date Girl's blog that Brittany was offering some free design services in honor of the recent launch of Peachy Keen Blog Design, so I decided to see if she'd make me a header. I'm in the process of teaching myself web design and Photoshop, as most of you probably know since I constantly ask for your validation on all the changes I make around here ;), so I've been working on trying to make some cute headers, but Brittany whipped one up for me in no time at all! (Like, same day.) She generously made all the little tweaks I asked her to, and even downloaded the special font I wanted, which was super sweet. I asked for lots of texture, simple, gray and gold design. Didn't she do a great job? I love that she produced the header that I wanted, not one that SHE wanted to design, as some blog designers can do.

If you need a header, a button, or a whole blog overhaul, head over and check out Brittany's new site! Her gorgeous banner alone should be enough to convince you that she's got some talent. And her rates are super reasonable.

Thanks for the header, Brittany!! =)

  1. Hi Michelle! Thank you for taking the time to read my post. The header looks really great. I'm a fan of damask and the colour is pretty :) plus it's nice to know that there is someone else who has heard of the Get Up Kids! I had a band pin on my bag for college and no one knew their music which is such a shame!

  2. Looking good Miss!! I'm so glad you were able to work with Brittany. Isn't she amazing? Love the new banner. Thanks for the link back-you're quite lovely yourself! :-) Us Californian girls (you're one of us already) gotta stick together!

  3. Thank you! That is so sweet, glad you like it. You will be in So Cal before you know it. I think I'm like you in that I actually love where I'm living but sometimes I really want to moved back to my home in the South ;)

  4. Thanks Lane!!

Haha DG in a way, I kind of am...I grew up in Milpitas! (near San Jose). But now I will be a SO CAL girl! It's like a whole different state hahaha.

Thank YOU, Brittany! See I feel like the South and Southern CA are two totally different paces of life so I could TOTALLY get that.

  5. Rachael, I've tried so hard to get people to listen to them and other similarly obscure bands, and no one takes the bait. I mean, they were on ONE TREE HILL and still no one recognizes them (which is definitely okay with me.)

  6. Michelle, one of my favourite bands is Gregory and the Hawk and trying to spread the word about them was similarly difficult! They are so good too. I was more surprised to find one of their EPs in a random record store and then I felt as if there was someone else who appreciated the obscure bands lol
